Legacy baseball had its chance
After 160 years as America's pastime, legacy baseball left women out there, standing without a seat at the table.
Legacy baseball had the infrastructure and cultural authority to build complete professional pathways.
Instead, systems built around men were preserved while symbolic progress was substituted for permanence.
